Claudio, Giorgio, Guido, Roberto, Stefano. Interessi diversi, ma stessa passione per la mountain bike. Prima come semplice voglia di praticare uno sport certamente affascinante; dopo come desiderio di conoscere nuovi amici, aggregandoli in questa iniziativa. L'entusiasmo ci ha quindi portati il 1 gennaio 1999 a ``fondare'' questo nuovo club di mountain bike, non agonistico, che riteniamo possa dare, a tutti coloro che lo vorranno, nuove soddisfazioni.

Oggi, a tre anni di distanza, siamo in 40 a condividere questa esperienza. Lago del Cerreto, agosto 1998 Il nostro ``territorio'' &e grave; l'appennino reggiano, dalle prime colline poste a pochi chilometri da Reggio Emilia, fino ai monti Cusna, Cerreto, Ventasso. Meno frequentemente percorriamo l'appennino modenese, certamente altrettanto bello. Quest'anno prevediamo di ``affrontare'' anche percorsi con caratteristiche maggiormente ``escursionistiche'' e quindi agevolmente percorribili da chiunque.

An urban bikers association that ``fights'' to get a safe cycling network in Donostia-San Sebastian (``bidegorri'' in basque language). We are not a cyclotourist association, neither a cycling team; we are slow riders that use the bike to come and go. We are members of ``ConBici'', Coordinadora de asociaciones ciclistas de Espana.

This group is ``geared'' to those who have ridden, or who are planning to ride, the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route across northern Spain, or any of the connecting routes. The group is planned to collect and share information about this tour and act as a resource for those who are contemplating it. The list is more intended for cyclists who will be using roads for most of their journey, perhaps with some short sections on the hiking path, as opposed to those on mountain bikes who are using the path the entire way.

The Swiss Bicycle Advocacy Association is an independent non-profit organization with about 20,000 members. (Switzerland has about 7 million inhabitants with 4 million bicycles.) Our purpose is to advocate and promote vehicular cycling for commuting, shopping and recreation. The umbrella organization and our 30 regional/local groups represent the interests of cyclists at federal and local level, and offer a variety of services.

The Bike User Network, aka BUN, is an informal network of people working to promote cycling as a serious solution to transport problems at the University and in and around Southampton. Addiscombe Cycling Club is a friendly Croydon based club catering for racing and leisure cyclists of all disciplines. Formed in 1929 its members have excelled on the national and world stage ever since. Originally most members competed in time trialling and track racing although road racing and mountain biking have now become very popular. With club meetings every Wednesday and at least FIVE organized activities a week its members have an active social scene. Most members come from around the Surrey area but the club also has members further afield who keep in touch regularly through the club.

The East Midlands C-C A is a group of about 50 cycling clubs who get together to administer cyclo-cross in the East Midlands.

Sustrans is a civil engineering charity which designs and builds routes for cyclists, walkers and people with disabilities. Sustrans is promoting a 6,500-mile National Cycle Network for the United Kingdom which will link schools, houses, shops and workplaces with each other and with the countryside.

The Tandem Club was formed in the UK in 1971 primarily to provide otherwise unobtainable spare parts and technical advice on how to maintain the older machines. This is still an important function but since then the Club has developed along with the increased interest in tandems, extending the range of services and benefits it offers to its members, and currently the Club has a world wide membership of over 6,000 members.
